Although Fastmarkets was founded in 1913 (as Metal Bulletin) it is currently going through a demerger and is now a privately held UK-registered company.

It is owned by global private equity firm Astorg, a specialist investor in healthcare, software, technology, business services and technology-based industrial companies.

The next few years will be an exciting time for Fastmarkets.

It is separating from Euromoney PLC and establishing itself as a stand-alone high value high / growth market leading company.

JOB PURPOSE
This is a new role, reporting to the Chief HR Officer. It was created following the separation and acquisition of Fastmarkets.

This will be the first dedicated reward role in the newly formed business, so it provides the perfect opportunity to make your mark on the direction of Reward and Recognition in the organisation.

You will be accountable for setting up the Reward function and you will then lead the design and implementation of global reward and compensation strategies that support Fastmarkets goals and objectives.

As part of a lean and high performing HR team you will also to roll your sleeves up and make sure the reward activities in the organisation are delivered.

This position will play a key role in defining the global reward strategy, recommending where practices need to be aligned (local versus global) and the planning, design and administration of employee compensation, incentive and benefit programme

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Working with the CHRO and Business leaders to design a global reward and recognition strategy
  • To own the global reward processes and practices to ensure they are fit for purpose and support the business strategy
  • Provide thought leadership and expertise on Reward topics to the global HR team and the wider business
  • Design and then maintain the employee benefit offering (incentive schemes, pensions and employee benefits schemes including all matters reward and recognition)
  • Managing all benefits providers (contract and cost management), and any other reward providers, to ensure Fastmarkets has the best services available for the price
  • Analysing, preparing and presenting data for the board to ensure that management have timely, accurate and insightful data on compensation and benefits.
  • Complete monthly and annual benefits administration (including the pension scheme), ensuring accurate and timely processes are followed
  • Reviewing and updating remuneration policies ensuring compliance with regulatory expectations and where required completing fillings and reporting
  • Management of budgets for all areas relating to reward and benefits
  • Design a pay strategy and conduct periodic pay surveys; conducting job evaluations; support other changes to colleague reward structures
  • Administering the annual salary benchmarking review, analysing data and providing insights to the Exec, HRBP's the rest of the HR team
  • Participate from a reward perspective in the design and implementation of a global HRIS
  • Own the process of job evaluation including the design and implementation of a global grading framework
