A vibrant, friendly school is looking for a KS2 teaching assistant who will be responsible for assisting teachers in the classroom and helping students learn.

They will be expected to be responsible for helping with preparation and organization of classroom materials, as well as helping to maintain discipline in the classroom.

Some of the role will include working with individual students to provide additional help and support in areas where they are struggling.

There may be an additional responsibility to support a child with special educational needs in a 1:1 capacity. This will include helping with the development of individualized learning plans for this Child.

All in all, the chosen individual will play an important role in helping create an environment that enables children to reach their learning goals.

The role:

Primary Teaching Assistant role in Carlisle
Fulltime, Term-Time position, Monday
Friday, 8.30am 3:30pm
Immediate starts available | £ £12 per hour
Primary Teaching Assistant based in KS2

Job specification:

Minimum of a Level 2 qualification within childcare
Strong A-Level and GCSE grades
Experience of working with children in a school setting

- speech and language needs and SEMH needs

Training related to SEND e.g. Autism Awareness; Zones of Regulation; Team Teach (safe handling)
Experience of working 1:1 or with small groups
Experience of/training in phonics & early reading
Interest in Autism, Speech and Language
