Logistics Supervisor Job in Christchurch

Are you looking for a Logistics Supervisor role that will evolve and gain more responsibility with time? We have an opportunity for someone with experience in stock management to join our long standing client and develop into a key person in the business that can be the bridge between the inbound and outbound logistics coordinator and deputise for the Head of Logistics.

What you'll be doing as Logistics Supervisor:

Oversee daily logístical activity, providing support to both inbound and outbound logistics functions and resolving any discrepancies
Keeping all stock records accurate matching physical to book
Following direction to quarantine stock if required
Making sure no damages or nonconforming stock remains within the warehouse
Flagging slow moving/short shelf life product as risk
Maintaining and updating storage within the warehouse activity tracking report
Completing full stock audit at midyear and year end
Providing warehouses with all new SKU information in preparation for arrival of NPD
Tracking and reporting on warehouse handling/storage costs
Checking invoices to ensure accurate vs expected costs
Supporting development of logistics processes, process mapping and work instructions in line with company strategic objectives with regards to environment, quality, customer satisfaction, cost and efficiency
Developing partner relationships both internally and externally
Promote an attitude of innovation, pace and intrinsic positivity.
Actively seek to improve skills and logistics knowledge base, via training, site visits and knowledge sharing

What we'd like to see on a Logistics Supervisor's CV:

End to end logistics experience including working with Asia/Europe
Willing to travel up to twice per month
Stock management and integrity experience
Ability to work in a fast paced environment

What you'll get in return:

Annual salary of between £30 32,000 per annum

25 days holiday + bank holidays
Usual working hours of Monday
Friday 9am 5.30pm
