Bond Personnel have a fantastic opportunity available for a full time permanent Warehouse Operative who can drive a Fork lift truck and drive to various depots across the UK.

Our client is the UK's leading independent medical oxygen manufacturer and supplier.

due to experiencing high demand and rapid growth, we are looking for a Warehouse / Production Operative to join their expanding team.

Our client has a team of 15 people, who currently supply emergency medical gases and equipment to various industries throughout England, Scotland and Wales including sports, leisure, dental, GP, security, wholesale trade.

Job Purpose:

Due to extreme growth our client is looking for an efficient, organised and hard-working person to provide support to our clients Site Manager at their medical oxygen filling plant and warehouse in Appley Bridge, Wigan.

Working hours:

Monday to Friday 9am 5pm
No weekends.

Essential requirements:

Full UK driving license (no more than 6 points on your license)
There is a lot of driving required in this job so applicants will need to be happy driving for long periods of time, and hold a full, clean driving licence.
Ability to drive a Folk lift truck is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

Driving to collect and replace medical oxygen bottles to places like Milton Keynes, Gloucestershire, Birmingham and Leeds
:

Filling compressed gas cylinders with oxygen.
Fitting valves to compressed gas cylinders
Processing cylinders
Using a fork lift truck to move pallets
Processing and posting website orders
Stock runs to deliver cylinders to other sites
Visiting customers' sites to deliver / exchange cylinders

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

Undertaking tasks accurately without mistakes is very important because the cylinders are high pressure and therefore pose safety issues if not handled, filled, valved correctly.
You will need to be confident and have a friendly disposition, dealing with customers on occasion will be a part of the role.
We will provide training for role specific duties such as filling/valving/repairing etc.
We will provide either a refresher or full training course for counterbalance forklift dependant on your prior experience.
Some warehousing or engineering experience is desirable but not essential.
