- Check and sell tickets on board our services.
- Advise customers about their journey by communicating individually and in groups, and be aware of their individual needs.
- Deal with challenges calmly and confidently when things do not run smoothly.
- Keep the train environment comfortable by fixing and reporting defective equipment and managing luggage issues.
- Be prepared to get your hands dirty and support operations as required.
- Safety is a priority; you will be trained on all procedures, rules and regulations so you are prepared to lead in any critical situation.
- Your initial 10-week training course will take place at our Customer Service Training Centre in Derby.
- This is not a 9 to 5 role; you will work shifts and some weekends, with time off in the week.

Are you focussed on delivering a safe train journey for all our customers and your colleagues? As an employee, you will receive free unlimited train travel on our services across our extensive rail network, discounted train travel on other train companies, entry into a pension scheme, a free uniform, excellent holiday entitlement and a salary of £30,920 per annum during the first 12 months, rising to £39,147 per annum after 12 months. Average hours are 37 per week.
Senior Conductors are the face of CrossCountry, so you'll make sure that every journey is a great one for our customers. You will be responsible for checking and selling tickets on board our services, advising customers about their journey by communicating individually and in groups and always being aware of their individual needs.
