Description:


We're looking for a
Document Controller on a contract basis for around
12 months (Inside IR35) working in support for defence related infrastructure projects.


What does the job involve?

  • Establish and maintain an efficient document control system to manage the documentation produced by the section.
  • Ensure adherence to established document control processes and procedures, including version control, document numbering, naming conventions, and filing systems.
  • Manage a centralised repository for all project and business related documents, ensuring easy accessibility, organisation and security.
  • Receive, review and process incoming documents, verifying their accuracy, completeness and compliance with established standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to obtain necessary documentation and ensure timely submission and approval.
  • Maintain accurate records of all document transactions, including issuance, distribution, retrieval, and archiving.
  • Utilising document management software (D2, CEMAR) or other appropriate tools.
  • Implement and enforce document review and approval processes, tracking the progress and ensuring timely completion.
  • Support project managers and team members in document preparation, formatting, and organisation, ensuring adherence to project requirements.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as clients, to exchange and verify documentation as needed.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Proven track record as a Document Controller.
  • Document numbering experience.
  • Version control.
  • CEMAR, D2 experience advantageous.
  • DV clearance.

What are the pay and benefits?

  • Up to £350 per day Umbrella (Inside IR35)
