The ongoing changes in the energy sector represents exciting new challenges for our Process Engineers working on sustainable emission reduction projects such as electrification, CCUS, Hydrogen as well as minimising the impact of existing plants, equipment, and traditional technologies through production optimisation.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Subject Matter Expert and Process Dynamic Simulation Technical Lead experienced in the managing and executing Process Dynamic Simulation studies across all delivery stages (concept through to detailed design), who also possesses an active interest in assisting clients and the wider energy industry through the transition to Net Zero.

In response, they can expect to support and manage assignments across much of the energy spectrum.

In tandem, they should be enthusiastic about contributing to the learning of others, demonstrating a willingness to coach, support less experienced engineers, particularly regarding IChemE chartership attainment and continuous professional development.

The role requires a pro-active, diligent approach with excellent communication, report writing, presentation skills with the ability to summarize key parameters and drivers.

Requirements:

Qualifications/Skill/Competencies

  • Engineering degree, Masters or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or similar.
  • Chartered Engineer status with the Institution of Chemical Engineers or equivalent.
  • Comprehensive experience in executing and managing front end and conceptual engineering studies.
  • Extensive experience and demonstrable track record of using HYSYS Dynamics and/or Unisim Dynamics as well as PipeNet or similar liquid surge (water hammer) programs.
  • Understanding of process control theory and principals.
  • Appreciation and understanding of flow assurance / multiphase flow aspects would be beneficial.
  • Excellent coordination, coaching / mentoring, and supervisory skills.
  • Experienced in preparation of Tender Submissions, Proposals and CTRs.
  • Experience of coding with Python scripting would be beneficial.
  • First class communication, report writing & presentation skills, demonstrating the ability to summarise key parameters and drivers succinctly.
  • Experience in client interfacing and to supporting business development requirements.
