We are looking for a CAD Design Engineer to:
- Perform CAD design changes and component selections to ensure customer's non-standard requirements are achievable prior to quotation.
- Liaise with other engineers within team and manufacturing personnel to determine estimated timescales for nonstandard product and features
- CAD drawings on sheet metal parts and components
- Update and control a database of nonstandard products quoted and manufactured
- Follow up on nonstandard units and features which are manufactured to correct issues to prevent these issues being repeated on future orders.
- Attend meetings supporting sales engineers, if required, in discussing large projects for nonstandard equipment with the customer.
- Point of contact with manufacturing for issues with nonstandard units.
- Provide instructions to aid manufacturing of nonstandard product/ options.
- Generation of technical specifications for nonstandard equipment.
You as a CAD Design Engineer will need to be HNC/D or Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering and have good interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with customers and internal departments.
