We are currently seeking a Technical Engineer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.The Role
As a Technical Engineer, you will be responsible for testing, repairing and developing electronic products.
You'll assemble and test electronic products, prototypes and experimental circuitry, diagnosing and repairing potential issues and identifying improvements to processes and designs to enhance production quality and reduce costs.
Assisting with the handover of products from development through to production, you'll design and build safe test rigs for production use, maintaining test and non-conformance records and championing safe working practices.
About You
To be considered as a Technical Engineer, you will need:
- Experience of working in an electronics production environment
- Knowledge and experience of soldering electrical and electronic components to a high standard
- Knowledge and experience of using hand tools safely and effectively
- Experience of continuous improvement and lean processes
- The ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and work instructions
- The ability to operate standard electrical and electronic test equipment
- Current knowledge of safe engineering practices
- IT proficiency, particularly with Word, CRM and MRP systems
- An HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a recognised engineering apprenticeship, or equivalent
