    Job Title:

    Manufacturing Planner

    We're looking for a talented Manufacturing Planner to join our Design and Production Engineering team in support of the Boeing UK Apache Programme.

    The role reports to the Production Engineering Manager, based in Middle Wallop, Hampshire.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. To receive and process task schedules, creating Work Orders from the Work Package in GOLDesp MRO and adding demands for required materials.
    2. To ensure all scheduled maintenance inputs have planned and detailed materials, with any unavailable materials escalated to the supply chain for resolution.
    3. Participate in Continual Improvement (CI) workshops as a Subject Matter expert (SME), identifying and working to remove inefficiencies causing bottlenecks or blockers, maintaining the planned schedule and escalating situations beyond control to the MP&C IPT Lead.
    4. Timely escalation of emerging risks or issues affecting the schedule and/or productivity.
    5. Working within authorisations and necessary BDUK Policies/Practices.
    6. A collaborative approach to work and ensuring adoption of a collaborative mindset.
    7. Adopting changes to Base Line schedules from Pre-Input Maintenance Planners.
    8. Developing and supporting compliance/safety processes.
    9. Creating and supporting process development, implementation, and maintenance of Manufacturing Plans, Bills of Materials (BoMs), Work Instructions, and Illustrations.
    10. Developing manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives.
    11. Integrating suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
    12. Implementing production and tooling methodologies.
    13. Participating on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions.
    14. Drafting, updating, and reviewing processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements.

    Required Experience/Competencies:

    • Ability to create detailed work instructions using technical writing, meeting all requirements and work recording measures.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate and understand technical work requirements.
    • Proven knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MAA Regulatory Publication (MRP) Part 145, BDUK MRP 145 MOE, aviation Quality Assurance (QA), and Safety Management System (SMS) processes.
    • Understanding and interpreting Technical Documents, Technical Drawings, and/or Authorised Technical Publications (ATPs).
    • Effective communication with management levels, cross-functional areas, and customers.
    • Capable of sequencing and controlling demanding workloads, on time, to budget, and to the required standard.
    • Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.

    Preferred Experience/Competencies:

    • Experience in scheduled maintenance, repair, and modification of aircraft/components, with training/authorisation on the aircraft type or component type.
    • Proven knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MAA Regulatory Publication (MRP) Part 145, BDUK MRP 145 MOE, aviation Quality Assurance (QA), and Safety Management System (SMS) processes.
    • Knowledge of air system scheduled maintenance for effective Review, acceptance, and rejection of SoW, AWRs, deferred work, etc. at the pre-input phase.
