Public Affairs Manager - Dunstable, Bedfordshire -

The Company:

An established and award-winning leisure organisation are looking for Public Affairs Manager to join their team.

Due to their fantastic reputation and strong brand, they successfully weathered the most challenging times for the leisure and tourism industry and are now back on track with impressive plans for growth and future development


The Role:


This is an exciting time to join the team, as you will play a key part in communications for sustainability, future growth, and expansion plans for the business.


Day-to-day you could be:


  • Implementing a public affairs strategy and calendar of activity that meets business objectives.
  • Managing wider issues and area of risk such as crisis management and Government policies.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including local politicians.
  • Monitoring and preparing for Government consultations.
  • Working closely with a PR agency.
  • Creating marketing collateral such as newsletters, briefs, infographics, and Q&As and ensuring all content is appropriate and within brand guidelines.

To be successful, you must have

  • Large infrastructure experience would be ideal.
  • Experience of engagement among MPs and regulators/decision makers.
  • Good connections within the PR/media space.

Location:
Dunstable, Bedfordshire (WFH 3 days)


Hybrid working - from day one, you'll be given the opportunity to work from home 3 days a week, with the remaining days being based in their Bedfordshire office.

There will be times when you will need to be available outside the traditional 9-5 office hoursin line with business needs, so a degree of flexibility will be required.


This role would be easily commutable for those based in Dunstable, Luton, Leighton Buzzard, Hitchin, Stevenage, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Borehamwood, London Colney, St Albans, Hemel Hempstead, Bedford, Aylesbury, Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Royston, Watford,and Letchworth Garden City.
