Role:


  • To lead, coach and manage a multi skilled diverse team with the objective to deliver services safely, to time, cost and quality.
  • To be proactive, agile and be able to absorb and assess multiple sources of information to establish solutions to production problems to ensure agreed deliverables are achieved
  • Ensure all Planned and reactive Maintenance is completed in time to achieve KPI
  • Manage the Salt water system in PNB.
  • To support all Vessel movements through Locks and docks
  • Maintain 3 Basin level
  • Required to work overtime and on call when required

You will be involved with:


  • Daily booking checks and validation to ensure team's attendance is correctly captured to ensure pay is correct and the company invoices hours for payment.
  • Engage, listen and effectively communicate to teams of responsibility to optimise delivery performance.
  • Teams of responsibility will range in size due to the scale and complexity of the work.
  • Day to day responsibility of teams' performance management and development to include attendance, sickness, overtime approvals, training (where appropriate) and PDP's (Personal Development Plans).
  • Lead a continuously improving culture within teams of responsibility that will provide year on year benefit.
  • Responsible for training needs, ensuring team are SQEP to conduct tasks.
  • Ensure compliance to plans, task scheduling and allocation via CAFM.
  • Reviewing tasks to ensure they have been completed to required standards which will result in robust right first time work acceptance performance.
  • Ensuring risk and method statements are in place and communicated so work is completed to the relevant SHE standards.
  • Support management of Salt Water system in PNB.

About you:


  • Strong technical abilities in Operations and Salt Water systems in PNB.
  • Ability to support projects whilst effectively deploying resources, demonstrating numerical, analytical and time management skills.
  • Ideally ONC/HNC, APM or experience.
  • Provide knowledge, experience and technical support to team as required to enable resolution to problems that will be encountered during delivery phases.
  • Demonstrate high levels of SHE behaviours to teams through positive promotion of safety awareness, risk management and compliance.

Your expertise and leadership:


  • Clear understanding of how team integrates with others to achieve objectives and the team's impact upon the financial and customer relationship.
  • Use technical and business expertise to establish solutions to challenges that will enable reliable delivery performance.
  • Responsible for team outputs ensuring safety, quality and cost performance is delivered to the highest standards.
  • The required levels of SHE knowledge that will require Risk Assessment and Method Statement skills and functional knowledge. Either IOSH or NEBOSH trained.
  • Management skills, demonstrating communication, listening and processes skills.
  • Lead and coach teams to develop a new improving culture that will deliver efficiencies to our delivery methods, processes, systems and tools.
  • Manage teams using firm, fair and consistent values ensuring positive interventions when necessary.
  • Responsible for identifying development within team by actively coaching and supporting mechanical maintenance teams.

  • Effectively engage with all members of the team to create an open and trusting environment so all views are listened too and heard
