Description

The main duties of the role will include: Have responsibility for working with service and education colleagues to facilitate a high-quality learning and education experience for Internationally recruited nurses and Health Care Support Workers (HCSWS) recruited through New to Care (NTC) programs across the trust. Provide mentorship, education, clinical skills and support to ensure that internationally recruited nurses are fit for practice and purpose. Provide specialist education knowledge to ensure that learning and teaching in clinical practice promotes and supports the Clinical Governance agenda and Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) standards. Be able to support internationally recruited nurses and New to Care HCSWs to identify their individual needs to advance their practice.


Support internationally recruited nurses from arrival in the UK, whist initially working as a HCSW, in preparation for an NMC OSCE and through preceptorship on registration.

Develop and deliver a programme of education and skills training to cohorts of HCSWs recruited through a New to Care programme.
