We are looking to add an enthusiastic team member to our dynamic team who will assist our operations department in dealing with Freight traffic.

Freight Forwarding Operations Assistant_

  • To manage the movement of freight to requested final destination within required timescales and to customers' specifications.
  • To provide effective communication by liaising with suppliers and customers throughout the transport process.
  • To provide effective management of the transport process resolving all issues arising.
  • To provide consistent and positive customer service experience and develop strong customer relationships.
  • Liaise with customers, Banks & Lloyd overseas agents, shipping lines and hauliers to provide a customer centred service.
  • Develop strong customer relationships through providing good customer service consistently.

Skill and Competencies

  • Computer literate (able to confidently use Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and to interact with modern computers for daytoday usage)
  • Strong prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent phone manner and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Strong focus on customer service.

REMOTE WORKING


We offer homeworking/remote working flexibility with a maximum of 2 days working from home, 3 days working in the office.

During probation you will be expected to work entirely in the office to be trained effectively. Homeworking can be removed without notice if it is deemed unproductive for an individual. To be eligible for homeworking there will be minimum requirements (for example a secure home wifi network, minimum internet speeds etc)

£27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
