Branch Assistant - Warehousing
Lloyd & Jones are looking for friendly and committed Branch Assistants to join us at our new state-of-the-art Welding "Centre of Excellence" which will be opening in the Hull area in the first quarter of 2024.
We are a leading supplier of Industrial Supplies in the UK (£40M turnover), selling a wide range of products from a variety of Original Equipment Manufacturers.
With this new facility, Lloyd & Jones will be able to continue to grow rapidly in the welding market, complementing our existing sites dedicated to welding in Barnsley, Immingham, Mansfield, Newcastle and Teesside.
We are seeking reliable and diligent individuals to join our team as a Branch Assistant. As a Branch Assistant, you will be help maintain an organized and efficient warehouse environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing company in the Industrial Supplies sector.
As a Branch Assistant, you will be an integral part of our branch team, working closely with other branch members to ensure stock is receipted, stored, picked, packed and loaded in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Safely and accurately receive and store incoming stock
- Efficiently pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders
- Carry out regular stock checks and keep accurate records
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to move and stack goods
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, ensuring a safe working environment at all times
- Assist with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to meet operational goals
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects
- Familiarity with operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory management systems. Training in our ERP package will be given
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team
- Excellent organization and time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Types:
Permanent, Full-time
Salary:
£23,007.69-£25,652.00 per year
