As a Company Secretary within Santander Asset Management (SAM UK), you will play a crucial role to provide proactive and effective company secretarial support and governance and advise to SAM UK's board and leadership team.


You will primarily manage the company secretarial program in respect of SAM UK's matters, including taking primary responsibility for the effectiveness and smooth running of the SAMUK board and various committees' meetings and governance.


This role is a great opportunity for an experienced Company Secretary to take the opportunity to lead on decisions and manage a company secretary function.


The difference you'll make:


  • Acting as a sole Company Secretary for certain SAM Group companies
  • Advising on board procedures, ensuring that board and committee decisions are actioned
  • Supporting the Chair of the Board and committees in delivering any actions arising from any review of board effectiveness
  • Reviewing all legislative, regulatory, and corporate governance developments on company operations
  • Working with stakeholders to develop and maintain policies and procedures Supporting corporate transactions as and when required, including drafting board resolutions

What you'll bring:

  • A good level of previous experience working within a company secretary role, enabling you to execute a sole company secretary role
  • Demonstrable experience advising on changes to corporate governance structure at a senior level

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Experience of working on a sole function role would be desirable
  • An understanding and ability to identify and escalate risk
  • A flexible and adaptable approach enabling you to carry out varied responsibilities
  • Asset Management experience would be beneficial

This role is based in Triton Square, London and our current expectation is at least 3 days in an office every week.
