Teaching Assistant

Part-time

Lewisham

A delightful primary school in Lewisham are looking for a highly efficient, flexible, friendly and reliable 1:1 Teaching Assistant to compliment their wonderful team This position is for 20 hours per week, 38 weeks of the year (term-time only) startingin January.

The school is a three-form entry community primary school that admits children from three to eleven years old. They celebrate the rich diversity of their community and encourage children to respect each other's cultures, faiths and traditions.

The school aims for high academic standards for all, but at the same time embodies the broadest possible definition of education.

They believe learning should be fun and that you never grow too old for new learning.

Key skills and experience needed to be a Teaching Assistant:

Previous support work within a school or other child related experience
Strong behaviour management
Confident with onetoone and small group work
Able to use initiative and creativity to keep students occupied and engaged
Enthusiastic, positive and friendly approach whilst remaining firm, patient and persistent

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR VERITAS EDUCATION

Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained
You must have legal right to work in the UK
You must be willing to attend a registration interview
