Buyer wanted to join a world leading automotive company, with a global reputation for quality, passion and performance in Belper on a permanent basis, benefitting from a salary in the region of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum dependant on experience.


This is a fantastic opportunity for a Buyer to join a pioneer within its market in the design and production of high-performance vehicles developing some of the most innovative, durable, and exciting all-terrain vehicles currently in production.

The ideal
Buyer would be supporting the manager in the purchase of goods, materials and services to ensure that the company operational needs are met, considering price, quality, delivery and to ensure continuity of supply.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Undertake purchasing responsibilities as directed by the Sourcing Manager
  • Help identify new suppliers to meet the business requirements
  • Ensure accurate and timely purchasing to meet business requirements
  • Manage delivery of orders to schedule
  • Support the ontime delivery of parts to meet production requirements across sites
  • Provide buyer support, including invoice queries, purchase order processing and expediting
  • Update systems to reflect purchasing activity
  • Liaise with suppliers on quality and scheduling problems
  • Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications.
  • Be able to pull together monthly spend reports over various programmes.
  • Be able to recognise potential critical path issues before they arise (strategic approach)

The ideal Buyer:


  • Previous experience of working in a purchasing team preferably within an automotive or manufacturing environment would be advantageous
  • Confident and engages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working with others
  • Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff, stakeholders and suppliers
  • Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Analytical, numerically astute, with strong problemsolving abilities
  • Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding and cost breakdown
  • Experience of working closely with suppliers
  • An individual who is results driven with the ability to deliver operational plans in a highly demanding environment

Working hours:

Monday - Thursday: 8am pm & Friday: 8am pm

Our client is open to a Hybrid working model following a period of office-based work.
