Based in the Northwest, the company is a leading manufacturer operating in the fast-growth aluminium building products market and is undergoing a significant period of expansion.


As part of this growth, we are looking for a hands-on IT Coordinator, which brings an exciting opportunity for the right individual to assist the company's IT manager in moving forward the IT and business strategies and have a material impact on the future success of the business, as it transitions to a fully digital manufacturing operation.


Reporting to the IT manager, the first requirement of the role will be to support IT BAU activities for the internal and external IT customer base.


The role will also help with ensuring the shop-floor data capture and reporting devices provide full service to the business.


The Role:

  • On site IT support for c. 70 users and set up of additional users as required.
  • Coordinate the IT BAU activities, including, but not restricted to, new equipment preparation, software installs, ethernet switch cable management and printer management.
  • Microsoft Office product support and administration of the company's Office 365 and Sharepoint environments.
  • Support of the company's ERP/MRP and data reporting systems.

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • Good allround knowledge in IT, IT infrastructure and networking.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate at all levels across the organisation from the factory floor to senior management.
  • Experience in problem solving and critical thinking.
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools, SQL, API functions.
  • Experience of working in the Manufacturing/Engineering sector.
  • Office 365 Administration.
  • Experience with maintaining virtualised environments (vSphere, Hyper-V, etc)
  • Configuration and maintenance of VOIP telephone systems (BT, Avaya, etc)
  • Familiarity with auditing processes, especially hardware inventory.
  • Knowledge of financial system functions, SAGE, Pegasus, Xero, etc.
  • Experience with Antivirus software and procedures.

Desirable Skills and Experiences:

  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and reporting structures.
  • 3rd party supplier liaison.
  • Administration of backup, disaster recovery processes and procedures.
  • Experience of remote management systems (Datto RMM, etc)

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£24,000.00 per year
