The key outcomes for this are intelligent, where possible, automated systems and processes which support our brilliant academics in delivering their world leading research and teaching.


The Professional Services Hub (PS Hub) has been formed on the back of a Transformation Program to provide us with excellent, integrated and efficient professional services to support our vision of academic excellence.


The Professional Services Hub is responsible for delivering Tiers 0, 1 and select 2 Level services to its customers as part of the end-to-end services owned by the Functions such as HR, Finance, Commercial, Research & Innovation.


The PS Hub is organised into vertical service areas such as HR, Finance with a number of horizontal sub-teams responsible for Customer contact management, Tactical operational support, Quality & Compliance across the Hub, Data & Systems support, Performance reporting, Automation and Operational Excellence (AOE).

Main purpose of the job

  • Working closely with the PS Hub Director, and the HR Services Director, the HR Operations Transformation Consultant will take the lead on delivery of critical operational projects in HR Shared Services to improve service and delivery.
  • This is a hands on role requiring HR Operations expertise to find solutions and deliver working across the professional services hub, faculties and central HR.
  • Key projects in the plan include:
  • implementation of a new service management system.
- management of overpayments project including resolution of outstanding overpayments and implementation of adequate controls to prevent over and underpayments.

  • Working with compliance to strengthen controls around right to work and immigration.
  • Supporting the PS Hub Director in delivery of the transformation of HR Operations in terms of service, structure and operating model.
  • Supporting readiness work on new ERP.
  • Supporting Education and Student Experience Transformation through technology changes, process changes and service changes.
