JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Summary:
Working alongside other members of the Front of House team assisting the Bar/Restaurant Manager and kitchen staff in all activities within the
Restaurant.

You will deliver amazing service and hospitality to guests as part of an exciting dining experience in accordance with Bureau standards.

Overview


This is a multifaceted role, reporting to the Restaurant Manager but working in partnership with the other Kitchen/Bar/Restaurant staff and Bureau team in growing a happy and engaged community, with an emphasis on providing the highest level of service to our clients and members.


This is an opportunity to work within a small, close-knit team of seasoned hospitality professionals, allowing the right individual the ability to develop a comprehensive depth of knowledge of all aspects of our industry.

We strive to deliver the best quality products we can across the board, focusing on fresh, seasonal Modern British cuisine and an ever changing bar offering.


You will be expected to provide a courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service at all times, supporting the Bar/Manager, Chef, and other restaurant/kitchen staff by assisting in running an efficient and effective service.


Service Delivery

Among your day-to-day tasks will be the following:

  • Preparation and delivery of high quality, speciality coffee
  • Develop and maintain an expert knowledge of all our products, from coffee & alcoholic beverages to food
  • We provide full table service to our clients who choose to dine in with us, this is to be delivered in a conscientious and professional manner whilst maintaining a welcoming and relaxing air
  • You will be expected to develop your knowledge of all products we stock and be able to make timely, accurate recommendations to guests based on their preferences and needs
  • Providing a positive and friendly guest experience whilst interacting with guests
  • You will be expected to develop a proficient working knowledge of our POS system
  • Checking identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers
  • Keeping a wellstocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories including soft beverages
  • You will be expected to maintain an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness in the Restaurant/Bar area, which includes daily/weekly/monthly cleaning rotas
  • Working with management and colleagues to ensure we are using the most efficient best practice across our offering
  • You will have the opportunity to work alongside the Restaurant Manager to develop menus further, including the addition of 'Specials' or full time menu items. You will be expected to serve and present 'Counter Food' in a professional manner, in keeping with Bureau standards
  • Complying with all food and beverage regulations, including all licensing standards such as 'TASK 25' etc
  • You will be the lead in terms of 'setting the tone' for the day/evening, this will mean ensuring 'bad' behaviour from customers is limited alongside promoting and encapsulating our Bureau ethos
  • You will be expected to maintain a high level of attention to detail with regards to our guest satisfaction, ensuring you take note of sales trends, feedback, repeat enquiries and comments on products and service allowing us to constantly develop and refine our offering.
  • As we are a small, closeknit team you will be working in a multifaceted role that will incorporate all aspects of a Bar/floor server
  • Maintaining a high standard of Front of House food storage areas, this may also extend to assisting the kitchen team Receiving deliveries and organising them as required, this may include some 'cellar' work assisting the Manager with the organisation of storage areas
  • You will work a mixture of day and evening shifts, this will include the set up and breakdown of the Bar/restaurant area to a high standard of cleanliness to ensure that the bar/restaurant is always up to Bureau standards.
  • You will be expected to assist in the preparation/set up, delivery and breakdown of a variety of events alongside our Events Manager

Teamwork

  • Aiding bar/restaurant manager/Chef and other kitchen/waiting staff, as required
  • Work as a productive and supportive team member

Health and Safety

  • Support the team in accurate food safety and health and safety records
