As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a dedicated Nurture Mentor to join our team.

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Provide oneonone support to the student with SEMH needs, focusing on their social, emotional, and mental wellbeing.
Develop and implement personalized strategies and interventions to support the student's learning and development.
Foster positive relationships with the student, building trust and rapport to facilitate their engagement and progress.
Monitor and track the student's progress, adjusting support strategies as needed to address emerging needs and challenges.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff members to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting the student.
Effectively deescalate challenging behaviour, using appropriate techniques and strategies to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
Provide feedback and guidance to staff members on best practices for supporting students with SEMH needs.

Requirements:

Qualified to HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) level or equivalent.
Degreelevel qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Psychology, Social Work).
Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs, preferably in a school or educational setting.
Strong understanding of SEMH issues and their impact on learning and development.
Ability to deescalate challenging behaviour and maintain a calm and supportive demeanour in stressful situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, sharing knowledge and expertise to support student progress.
Commitment to promoting inclusivity and equality, with a passion for supporting the social, emotional, and mental wellbeing of all students.
