Control Room Operator


Location:
Nottingham, Nottinghamshire


Start date:
Immediate


Pay Rate:
£19.85/hr PAYE (including Shift Allowance and Hol Pay)


Duration:
Permanent

Hours: 37 hrs/week, covering Days & Night shifts, Mon-Sun


The Role:
Our client currently has a requirement for a Control Room Operative for a power station in Nottinghamshire.

The role is key in the safe and efficient operation of the site and duties will include:


  • Using SCADA systems to control industrial processes, monitor and gather and record real time data, monitoring and controlling routes for materials and directly interacting with sensors, motors, valves etc
  • Communicating requirements and information to appropriate departments and supervisors
  • Reporting and recording any defects to appropriate departments and supervisors

Requirements:


  • Good level of computer literacy and experience using computerised systems
  • Understanding of the material handling systems
  • Control room operations training an advantage
  • Good understanding / knowledge of heavy site plant
  • Clear and consistent communication
  • Attention to detail
  • Positive attitude to safety with the confidence to challenge unsafe working
