Machine Setter

Salary:
£23,000 p/a + (Dependent on Experience)

Location:
Brighouse

Shifts: 40 Hours per Week (Standard day shifts with flexible Friday half shifts)

Benefits:
Holidays, increasing to 22+8 with service. Parking. Pension.

Stafflex are currently working with a long-running well-established business, specialising in the production and manufacturing within liquid filling/FMCG.

Our client is a proud supplier to some of Britain's largest supermarkets and their aim is to consistentlydeliver high quality produce.

To help achieve this, we are currently looking to recruit a well-motivated and enthusiastic Machine Setter - to join the team at the earliest opportunity.


Job role

The applicant should be looking to establish a long-term career with a long-standing business, in excellent working conditions as part of a close-knit team.

The successful applicant will set, run and monitor the production machinery (filling lines).

Some lightmaintenance checks and basic repairs will be required, training shall be provided to ensure you are able to work independently.


Day-to-Day responsibilities:


  • Weighing, mixing and blending materials
  • Organising and storing materials
  • Weekly production planning
  • Reporting to managers regarding tooling and material requirements.
  • Completing work logs and time management
  • Completing set up for staff prior to their arrival
  • Basic maintenance and reporting with engineers
  • Completing work logs and time management
  • Problem solving
  • Quality Control and testing on finished products

Minimum requirements:


  • Experience working with setting and monitoring machines and equipment
  • Knowledge in setting and operating machinery
  • Carrying out work to customer requirements
  • Reporting to managers regarding tooling and material requirements.
  • Completing work logs and time management
  • Problem solving

Desirable requirements:


  • FLT License

Due to the nature of the machinery, training is provided in specific areas but core experience working with setting machinery is essential.
