The role is not without challenges but will also be very rewarding. You will support service users to live their lives as independently as possible and maximize their opportunities. This is a great opportunity to affect real change into the lives of vulnerable adults and their family.

This role involves providing support to Adults or elders on the autism spectrum,Dementia, Learning Disabilities Nestled in serene countryside and surrounded by farmland, our residence provides a nurturing environment where you can truly make a difference.

A successful care assistant will be responsible for:

  • Working effectively with the manager, team and family members
  • Supporting wheelchair bound service users which involves using hoists
  • Establishing good daily routines and performing personal care
  • Seizure care (training provided)
  • Displaying the emotional resilience to support service users with life limiting condition
  • Working to a flexible schedule, including nightshifts, weekends and bank holidays
  • Keeping a positive and friendly attitude You may be the only people the service users see that day
  • Have previous experience working with adults with complex needs
  • Experience in, or prepared to undertake training in PEG feeding, epilepsy and moving and handling
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Register under the PVG scheme
  • Full driving licence (Essential)
  • Obtained SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent (desirable)
