This is a permanent role, working full-time.

As a Personal Tax Assistant, you will play an integral role in our personal tax team, reporting directly to the Personal Tax Manager.

Your hard work and dedication will be crucial in generating accurate tax returns for our clients and identifying potential planning opportunities within your portfolio.

You will have the opportunity to liaise with HMRC when required and advise clients on their UK tax positions.

Your ability to work within specified budgets, monitor WIP, and deliver timely billing will contribute significantly to the success of our firm.

Responsibilities:

Requesting Tax Return information from clients or relevant parties.
Generating Tax Returns for our diverse client base.
Identifying planning opportunities within your portfolio.
Advising clients on their UK tax positions and liaising with HMRC when necessary.
Monitoring WIP, working within specified budgets, and raising bills in a timely fashion.
Providing support to other members of the tax team as required.
Assisting with consultancy projects and other adhoc duties when needed.
Advising on UK tax compliance and corporation tax matters.
Handling P11D's, gathering information, preparing submissions, and managing general tax administration.

Requirements:

Reside in the UK local to Manchester City

At least 2 years of experience in personal tax.
Strong understanding of UK tax regulations and compliance procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proactive and able to work collaboratively within a team.
Detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Proficient in using taxrelated software and tools.
AAT qualified

Salary £22-£30k pa depending on experience

Working hours - Mon-Fri - flexitime
