    About The Role

    As part of a growing sales and technical team, the Industrial Sales Manager/Business Development Manager will be responsible for:

    • Attending industry exhibitions and events to build market knowledge, identify leads, and gather competitor analysis.
    • Developing relationships with new (75%) and existing (25%) industrial clients across areas such as Formula 1, Aerospace, and Engineering.
    • P Presenting and demonstrating instruments to Quality & Inspection departments, discussing features and benefits. This will involve both in-person and online interactions.
    • Securing sales of instruments worth £5K to £50K with an average sales cycle time of 1-6 months.
    • Covering the northern region of the UK, spending an average of 3-4 nights per month away from home.
    • Building lasting relationships with Process Engineers, Engineering Managers, Quality Managers, and Procurement professionals.
    • Conducting virtual and face-to-face meetings.
    • Handling technical and commercial inquiries from your territory.

    About You

    The successful candidate must possess technical sales experience dealing with industrial clients, ideally within areas like Engineering, Formula 1, or Aerospace.

    Product experience within metrology, non-contact measurement, optical imaging, microscopy, photonics, spectroscopy, nanotechnology, motion control, CMMs, laser cutting equipment, machining services, materials characterisation, materials testing equipment, vision inspection, hardness testers, linear bearings, motors, or high-precision optical encoders would be highly advantageous but not essential.

    You should have a driven sales approach and hold a driving license.
