Our client is a successful professional services business, based in Birmingham. They now have an opportunity in their Staffordshire office, where they are looking for a full-time Payroll Technician to join the highly successful and client-focused payrollteam

About the role

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Preparing a range of payrolls of varying complexity, including maintaining the upkeep of payroll files to specified standards;
  • Completing accurate bank payments and HMRC returns on behalf of clients;
  • Maintaining an uptodate knowledge of relevant legislation and different types of pension schemes for payroll compliance;
  • Planning workloads independently and proactively, highlighting where additional support is required;
  • Assisting in the continuous improvement of the department, including identifying and implementing opportunities for improved systems and new clients;
  • Supporting colleagues and the wider team as required.
The ideal person


The position would suit an excellent communicator with a professional and proactive approach to client relationship management, who is keen to progress in their role.

They should be able to manage time effectively and be confident and instrumental in adhoc projects.
