Housing Support Officer - Safe Space Housing

Safe Space Housing is a dedicated supported accommodation provider in the Leeds area, committed to alleviating homelessness and its detrimental effects.

We work with individuals facing personal challenges and difficulties, who have limited or no access to safe and secure living accommodation.

The Role:

Deliver responsive customer service and handle enquiries
Manage all property administration tasks (utilities, council tax, internet accounts)
Assist with housing benefit claims and support documentation (support plans, risk assessments)
Perform additional duties as required by the manager

Reporting to:

Director

Key Requirements:

Extensive customerfacing experience
Proven ability in providing administrative support in fastpaced environments
Experience working with internal and external stakeholders for effective service provision
Collaborative teamwork across various service areas
Strong communication skills (written/verbal) and active listening ability
Excellent IT skills, including records management and data input systems
Organizational skills, able to prioritize caseloads
Flexible, responsive, and proactive problemsolving approach
Empathy and professionalism in working with challenging service users
Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance issues
Ability to identify personal training and development needs
Commitment to the organization's aims and ethos
