Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Art Sales Consultant to join our sales team.

The Art Consultant will work closely with new clients to provide expert advice on art selection and assist in building their art collections.

Majority of sales are over the phone with some Gallery meetings.

This firm is ranked as the third-best gallery in London & fourteenth nationwide on Trust Pilot.


They have been featured in notable press globally, allowing our consultants to work with a trusted brand with a solid reputation globally.

We specialise in street art and represent acclaimed artists such as Blek le Rat, Defer, Richard Hambleton, and KEO XMEN.

Our mission is to provide expert guidance to collectors, facilitating the initiation or enrichment of their art collections through personalized consultations, private viewings, and curated exhibitions.

With a private gallery accessible by appointment, we offer a refined space complemented by a private bar, fostering an exclusive environment for our esteemed clientele.


Role Description:
As a full-time on-site Art Consultant, you will be instrumental in shaping the art collections of our discerning clients


Your responsibilities will include:

Handling Inbound Enquiries:

  • Manage daily inbound enquiries, approximately 510 per day.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client queries.

Art Consultancy Services:

  • Provide expert guidance and advice to clients on art selections.
  • Tailor recommendations to align with collectors' preferences and inform them about relevant opportunities.

Relationship Management and Business Development:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with new business customers.
  • Expand and nurture your client base through personalized engagement.

Sales and Negotiation:

  • Conduct both inperson and remote sales of artwork.
  • Negotiate deals with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.

Industry Engagement:

  • Attend art fairs, exhibitions, and industry events to stay updated on trends.
  • Represent our brand at various events, promoting our brand and artists.

Working Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 10:00 - 18:00

Friday: 10:00 - 17:00


Working Environment:

  • Private gallery in Mayfair with contemporary aesthetics and a private bar.
  • Offices are accessible via a private lift, fostering autonomy and professionalism.

Compensation:

  • Commission: 10% | No Salary

Qualifications:

  • Experience in art consulting, sales, or luxury markets preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects independently.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for art.

Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with clients to understand their preferences, budget, and artistic vision
  • Offer guidance on art selection based on client needs and preferences
  • Provide information on artists, art history, and current trends in the art market
  • Coordinate viewings and assist in the selection of artwork for homes, offices, or events
  • Manage relationships with artists, galleries, and auction houses
  • Assist clients in the buying and selling of artwork
  • Stay updated on market trends and attend art events to expand knowledge base

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Art History, Fine Arts, or related field
  • Proven experience as an Art Consultant or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of different art styles, movements, and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and understand their artistic preferences
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with financial planning related to art investments
  • Experience in financial services within the art industry
