An exciting opportunity has arisen for a nurse to join out Home Therapies dialysis team. The post holder will work closely alongside a team of experienced Home Therapy clinical nurse specialists who will support the post holder in the development of knowledge and skills required to
manage a caseload of Home dialysis (Peritoneal dialysis and Home haemodialysis) patients.

Renal experience is preferable but not essential as full support and training will be given with a protected supernumerary period.


To be responsible and accountable for the organisation and management of a caseload of Home dialysis patients, delivering specialist clinical care appropriate to the needs of the patient.

To perform clinical assessments of patients on a Home Therapy, using up to date knowledge and skills in the planning, implementing and evaluation of care ensuring patients safety at all times.

To promote patients autonomy through education and support to enable individuals to make informed decisions about their care.
To provide specialist training to patients and support person to enable them to safely carryout Home dialysis treatments. To act in an advisory capacity to provide support and advise to patients, support person,
nursing staff and external agencies regarding all aspects of the patients chronic kidney condition.
