JOB DESCRIPTION - PURCHASE LEDGER CLERK

Reporting to:
Finance Manager


Overview


You must ensure that all resources under your control and influence are used to make the most effective contribution to the short and long term objectives of your particular area of work.

It is your responsibility to request and to accept training where applicable, to develop yourself and to grow the business


Under the Health and Safety at Work Act, you have a personal responsibility to work in a safe manner to protect your own safety and that of others.


Responsibilities
The above role encompasses all duties relating to the Purchase Ledger function of all Group Companies.

Duties of the above role will include:

  • 1. Processing and Posting of all Purchase Ledger Supplier invoices for both Stock Purchases and Overheads
  • Processing of Expenses Claim forms and Petty Cash returns
  • Chasing of unauthorised invoices from Branches
  • Assisting suppliers with any invoice/payment queries
  • Supplier Statement Reconciliations
  • Payment to suppliers by BACS/Cheque
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required by the Finance manager

Salary:
From £20,500.00 per year
