Description

We are seeking an immediate Finance Manager with schools experience to join our client on an FTC basis, term time only.

Be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of all financial records including the input of income and expense onto the FMS financial system, oversee petty cash transactions and ordering of goods and services.

Be responsible for the manual and computerised financial records and for producing financial reports for submission to the budget meeting and any audits as required.

Be responsible, in conjunction with the Headteacher and the Governors for the preparation and review of the school's 3-year financial budget.

Ongoing review and prompt adaptation of the school's budget in response to new information, such as fluctuating pupil numbers, staff changes, changes to funding etc.

Ability to communicate the key drivers underpinning the budget to the main stakeholders. This will involve attending governors' meetings to explain the assumptions behind the budget and key risk factors.

Support and influence strategic decision making by the leadership team by assessing the impact of key decisions on the financial position of the school.

Monthly reconciliations to be performed on a timely basis.

Responsible for contract management:
getting quotes and negotiating to ensure best value for money.
