Description

To provide a comprehensive, high quality medical secretarial and administrative service to the Consultants, the medical team and specialist nursing teams, and other health professionals.

To co-ordinate and maintain arrangements to facilitate the patients progression along a defined
pathway. To maintain the office organisation and monitor the workload related to the administration team.


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time permanent medical secretary in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department at Singleton Hospital.

Position is for 30 hours.


The post holder will be responsible for a comprehensive, confidential and efficient secretarial service to the Obstetric and Gynaecology Department including the Consultant Gynaecology Oncologists, Junior Staff and the Obstetric and Gynaecology Team.


We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as they will be liaising with a wide variety of personnel at all levels both internal and external to the Health Board and from numerous external organisations.


We are seeking an individual who can manage the day to day running of the office, their workload, use their own initiative and who is able to cope with tight and multiple deadlines, in a constant changing environment.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
