Join Our Team as a Senior Accountant at Hawthorn Tax
About the Role:
As a Senior Accountant at Hawthorn Tax, you'll be entrusted with a diverse client portfolio, giving you the autonomy to manage your workflow and deadlines independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage the daytoday accounting operations with a personal touch.
- Prepare statutory and management accounts, ensuring they're partnerready.
- Handle basic corporation tax and personal tax returns, with full training available if needed.
- Support the development of accounts assistants through thoughtful delegation and quality reviews.
- Oversee and process VAT returns, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Offer guidance and training to accounts assistants, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
- Note: Your duties may extend beyond this list, adapting to the evolving needs of our dynamic business._
Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (would consider partqualified with the right experience).
- Proven experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role.
- Proficient in cloudbased accounting software, like Xero.
Essential Criteria:
- Efficient delivery of work with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Prioritisation skills to meet deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Our full-time roles are 34 hours over a 4-day working week, Monday-Thursday.

Pay:
£37,000.00-£42,500.00 per year
