Role Details 1


We are recruiting in repairs for a Communal Repairs Technical Officer who will help diagnose and identify the necessary repairs across the housing stock, in order to provide high levels of customer satisfaction and negate potential risks given the current litigation culture in the social housing sector.

Band 4


£38,481 - £42,97- Please note that these are the correct pay scales following the recent pay award
Full time - 40 Hours Per Week which can include evening and weekend meetings.

  • Proven experience and ability to deliver excellent customer care and valuing diversity.
  • Proven attention to detail and ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and targets
  • Working knowledge of building construction, best practice and Regulations
  • Working knowledge of current forms of building contract and implementation
  • Working knowledge of Section 20 Legislation and consultation
  • Technical expertise sufficient to understand complex issues in construction, engineering and maintenance in the delivery of repairs and projects
  • Understand the provisions of the Construction Design Management Regulations and ensure that the internal and external CDM resources are managed.
  • Understanding and experience of leasehold service charging including consultation requirements for qualifying works (S20).
  • An understanding of the Housing, Health & Safety Rating Guidance (HHSRS Guidance for landlord and property related professionals) and practical knowledge of how to assess hazards.
Full Driving Licence is essential.
