Description
Duties

  • To assist in the running and upkeep of the Mechanical Treatment facility here at Milton Keynes Waste Recovery Park.
  • Tasks will include general cleaning, assisting with the clearance of blockages and working alongside the shift supervisors to maintain processing targets, some basic maintenance skills will also be utilised.
  • This a very busy handson role which will require a high degree of manual labour.
  • Training will be provided for the use of a baler, work at height equipment and some mobile plant.
  • Rotation shift pattern: 6am2pm, 2pm10pm
  • Salary: £25,500

In a single year we process 300,000 tonnes of waste that is turned into energy. This generates the same amount of energy as approximately 600 million solar panels. Similarly we recycle circa 95,000 tonnes of waste.
