Key Responsibilities


Duties highlighted in bold below will require you to work away from the reception desk at times agreed with the Registered Manager.

At all other times you will be based in the Reception area
.
Welcome all visitors to the care home courteously, determine the reason for their visit and check their identity. Telephone appropriate departments regarding the visitor's arrival.

Answer the telephone and respond to all enquiries at Reception. Re-direct enquiries in a friendly and efficient manner.

Provide administrative support to the Home Administrator and to the Registered Manager as and when required.

General filing and preparation of archiving to forward to central archive store as required.

Record all admissions and discharges to the home.

Operate office equipment such as a fax, photocopier and computer including scanning documentation and printing photographs. Also, as required, assist with the processing of clients payments using the card payment terminal.

Maintain staff register and sickness files ensuring the relevant documents/spreadsheets are kept up to date.

Take payments from visitors/residents and receipt as necessary.


Obtain weekly incontinence pad stock level for Registered Manager, to be completed at a time agreeable to the Registered Manager.

Prepare the weekly clock cards ensuring one is available for each Team Member.

Update weekly menus for Head Chef.

Photocopy accident forms and distribute as required at a time agreed with Registered Manager.

Complete stationery and photocopy order.

Record and take external post to post office/box.

Keep reception area clean and tidy at all times.

Create notices and signs for around the home.

New residents - compile welcome packs, welcome letter/card.


General:

Promote and ensure the good reputation of the care home at all times.


Ensure that all information of a confidential nature gained in the course of duty is not divulged to third parties.


Notify the PA to the Registered Manager or the person in charge, as soon as possible of your inability to report for duty, and also on your return to work from all periods of absence.

Ensure the security of the care home is maintained at all times.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures within the defined timescales.

Ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained.

Carry our any other tasks that may be reasonably assigned to you.

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 24 per week


Salary:
£10.42 per hour


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Lincoln: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:


  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
  • Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)

Language:


  • English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
