Senior Hr Advisor
Keltbray are recruiting for a Senior HR Advisor to support and have overall accountability for the operational delivery of day-to-day HR within the Infrastructure Business units.
This role reports to the head of Infrastructure HR whilst being supported by a HR Administrator and is primarily Operational and Employee Relations focussed but also includes the opportunity to work on ad hoc projects that support the delivery of the Company HR Strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrating a strong commitment to our Company values and Health and Safety Culture. Keeping our people (and our practices) compliant and safe is our number one priority.
- Ensuring all employee relations and change programmes across the Infrastructure and Rail business are managed effectively and commercially
- First point of contact for HR Operational matters within the nominated Infrastructure client group business units
- Guiding, supporting and mentoring other members of the people team on complex, commercial or challenging situations where they need support
- Being an expert on all internal HR policies and procedures to ensure they are implemented effectively and consistently
- Building strong relationships with members of the supported business senior leadership team and other relevant stakeholders. Regularly visiting offices, sites and projects to ensure HR has a visible presence within the business
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong HR Advisory experience (at least 34 years)
- Ideally CIPD Level 5 qualification
- Experience of and confident in leading complex employee relations and change programmes in challenging, operational organisations
- A sound understanding of Human Resource principles and best practice
- Up to date knowledge of employment law
- Knowledge and experience of project management and delivery
- Experience of writing and implementing policies, procedures & guidelines
- Experience of designing and delivering training workshops for managers on people issues
- Understands the important of administration and processes and always get this done, on time and to a high standard
- Ability to build strong credible working relations with senior managers and able to influence key decision makers / senior stakeholders
- Must be able to comprehend complex situations and make the correct decisions / judgments in a quickly changing environment and to tight deadlines.
- A hands on 'get stuck in' approach
