Quality Engineer

Salary:
£43,700 per annum (including shift allowance)

Shifts:
Nights (10pm - 6am)

Full-Time/Permanent

The Role

My client is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team, to prepare and record inspection reports and related documentation in line with the document control requirements and develop gauging strategy and CMM programming to existent and new products.

Key Responsibilities:

Verify product requirements, and thus provide a satisfactory level of measurement and process control support.
Supplier incoming inspection and results records
Nonconforming parts analysis.
Quality system documentation and records.
Product inspection using manual standard gauging as well as CMM with PCDMIS software
Creation of inspection reports and marked drawings
Perform Equipment TPM (Total Preventive Maintenance)
Experience in metrology (reading technical drawings and interpreting geometric features/tolerances) within a precision engineering environment.
Minimum 3 years' experience in manual inspection using conventional measurement equipment and 2 years in CMM operation using PCDMIS software. (Programming knowledge is an advantage).
A working knowledge of roundness and surface finish test equipment.
Good level computer literate, MS Office daily.
High level of discipline and organisation.
