We are looking for experienced Children's Residential Support Workers looking to work in a three-bed therapeutic children's home looking after young people (7 to 17 years old) with emotional and behavioural difficulties.


Salary of up to £12 per hour, paid sleep ins, and overtime at 1.5x hourly rate available.

Your duties:


  • Support the Registered Manager in providing leadership in the home and supporting both the needs of the young people and the Residential Support Workers as their line manager
  • Supervise and undertake lead keyworking responsibilities, including primary responsibility for overseeing the implementation and adaptation of young people's risk assessments and in house placement and care plan
  • Be a positive role model for the young people
  • Take responsibility for the safeguarding of young people
  • Support Young People with daytoday routines and education
  • Support Young People to take part in activities in the community and go on holiday
  • Encourage independence
  • Accurately record and update information in care plans
  • Develop professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Attend meetings with your team and the young people
  • Hold key work sessions with the young people
  • Take part in training, development, and regular supervision

What we need from you:


  • Be a dedicated team player, committed to helping young people achieve positive outcomes
  • You must be over the age of 2
  • Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Children and Young People (or equivalent)
  • Full UK Driving Licence (preferable)
  • A minimum of two years of experience working in a residential childcare setting
  • The flexibility to work on a rota system (mostly 2 days on/4 days off) including sleep ins and overtime where required.
  • Strong communication skills with young people, team members and other professionals
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check, along with satisfactory references
