We are very excited to be working with a well established lender, on their search for a Head of Communications, to be based in their Wolverhampton Head Office.


As Head of Communications, you will be responsible for ensuring effective development and delivery of marketing communications strategy for the Group's lending brands and is likely to have regular exposure to all levels within the company.


Responsibilities:


  • Overall responsibility for the delivery of the communications strategy that supports the lending brands through an effective and integrated plan that incorporates customer and intermediary communications.
  • Overall responsibility for the delivery of all lending product launches
  • Develop the case for required budget to meet approval requirements, and ensure that activities are evaluated post initiative against the business case to build learnings back into the marketing plan and deliver continual optimisation of activity.
  • Lead the development and delivery of intermediary communications for both business and regulatory change.
  • Establish relationships with teams across the group to ensure that plans are relevant and match the needs of our target customer segments.
  • Work with stakeholders to develop key messages across all audiences, in support of both the customer and business strategies.
  • Embed broker insight at the heart of all communications initiatives, ensuring customer need is central to comms proposition development.
  • Support the business's overall brand image through positive, focused and measured communications.
  • Ensure effective deployment of all marketing capabilities
  • Monitoring and tracking of industry marketing and communications trends.
  • Deputise for the Group Head of Marketing when required.
  • Manage the Marcomms, Media & Campaign, Events and Distribution functions within marketing.
  • Work closely with the Group Head of Marketing on strategy.
  • Maintain the company's compliance standards and ensure timely completion of all mandatory online training modules and attestations.
  • Line manage and coach all direct reports, including all aspects of performance management, development, conduct, sickness management, appraisals, employee administration and recruitment.

Experience:


  • 5 years previous marketing/communications experience is essential
  • 3 years previous experience of leading an equivalent sized communications function across all media channels is essential
  • 5 years previous line management experience is essential
  • 2 years previous experience in managing external agencies is essential
  • 2 years previous experience in the design and implementation of wide ranging external and internal communication programmes is essential
  • 12m previous experience managing the delivery of effective corporate event activities is essential
  • Previous marketing/communications experience within the Financial Services industry is essential
  • Previous experience in managing multiple brands is preferred
