We have an exciting new opportunity for a Planning Administrator to work as part of a friendly, established team providing support to our busy Marrons consultancy.


This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, driven & experienced Administrator looking for a role that offers variety and stretch.


You will be:

- providing timely and effective support to requests for assistance from members of the team
- accurately producing correspondence and documentation;
- using a case management system to process and progress files
- assisting with file opening, closure and archiving
- assisting with producing bills and other financial administration
- photocopying, scanning, printing, filing and other general administrative tasks
- handling telephone calls, and handling queries and enquiries where appropriate
- working closely with the team, assisting them generally with administration support as required
- archiving, storage and retrieval of documentation (electronic and paper versions)


You will ideally have:

- a minimum of 5 years' previous experience of working in a fast based, very busy secretarial/administration role
- confidence with IT systems to include Microsoft Word, Excel and ideally PowerPoint
- excellent organisational skills, flexibility and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- the ability to work well in a team and develop good working relationships with colleagues
- confident interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise openly and clearly with colleagues and clients
- the ability to produce a high standard of work, very often to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy and good attention to detail
- the ability to demonstrate professionalism, proactivity, and initiative

Marrons are a nationally growing team of town planning, socio-economic, heritage, and design consultants providing high quality advice and guidance on a wide range of planning and development issues.


We advise on planning matters of all types and scales from leading and co-ordinating large and complex development proposals, to dealing with small scale and householder developments.

We act on behalf of major house builders and developers, manufacturers and investment companies, blue chip companies and land promoters, in addition to land and property owners, retailers, local authorities and private individuals across the United Kingdom.

Marrons is part of law firm Shakespeare Martineau. We are part of a large multi-disciplinary team which comprises lawyers, surveyors and chartered town planners.

As part of Shakespeare Martineau, you will also have access to high quality training and support for the key business skills you need to progress your career in planning consultancy.
