NonStop Consulting is currently hiring for a Blue light sector client Investigating Officers to work as part of a specialist team who are passionate about protecting some of the most vulnerable people in our communities from domestic related abuse.

Thisis a very demanding but most rewarding role.

Please also note the serious and distressing nature of some of the crimes investigated on this team for example CCB (Controlling and Coercive Behaviour), HBA (Honour Based Abuse), Sexual assault and Rape.


This is an exciting opportunity which offers the possibility to working the public sector, full time with the option to work on site Monday to Friday( flexi hours), in Surrey.


The daily pay rate is competitive and they are offering a 14 months contract with a strong possibility of extension, which will guarantee your work stability on a longer term and overall it's an amazing chance for a professional to build up on their knowledgeand skills by adding a public sector experience in their portfolio, which will for sure guarantee opening more doors in the future.


The requirements that this role entail are:

  • Carry your own case load of PIP1 (professionalising investigation programme level 1) cases from reporting to trial and everything in-between.
  • Taking statements from complainants and witnesses, interviewing suspects, gathering other evidence such as CCTV and phone data, presenting the case file to the CPS (crown prosecution service) and then attending court as the officer in the case (OIC).
  • You will be responsible for working alongside other teams (forensics, custody, ID unit, other investigative departments) as well as our partners (Adult and Children's social care, Domestic abuse outreach, MARAC, CPS) to ensure that your investigations areto the highest standard of evidential quality and compliant with all relevant legislation.
