A leading UK-based law firm is looking for a Venture Capital Senior Associate to join their team.

This leading firm has a focus on technology, media and entertainment and private client sectors. Clients range from start-ups to multinational companies, from household names to private individuals and their family offices. For more than 60 years, the firm has been known for its stand-out expertise in the TMT sectors.


The firm's venture capital team advise on: Investment - structuring, drafting, negotiating and advising on all relevant investment documents; Commercial - the full spectrum of commercial, IP and technology agreements; Tax - advising how best to structure investment tax efficiently, including the Enterprise and Seed Enterprise Investment Schemes (EIS and SEIS); Share schemes and benefits - advising on tax-efficient share incentive arrangements for senior management and other staff, including advising on enterprise management incentive (EMI) options to incentivise key employees; IP - protecting, enforcing and exploiting IP rights (typically the key assets of early stage companies); Advising on data protection or privacy issues; and Employment - advising on employment arrangements to ensure that key staff are appropriately locked in.


  • Be a UK qualified lawyer.
  • Have 4+PQE in a Corporate practice, with a focus on Venture Capital work.
  • Be experienced in advising both domestic and international clients.
  • Be detailfocused and analytical, with sound judgement skills.
  • Be ambitious and selfmotivated.
  • Have excellent client relationship skills and effective at communication.
  • Be a collaborative team player who fit in with a collegiate and hardworking team.
