Description

IT Service Desk Analyst with 6+ months previous experience in 1st line IT support role using Office 365, Active Directory, and helpdesk software is required by a leading UK company in central Manchester.


While this is a service desk role, you will get exposed to technologies such as AWS Cloud, Networking, Microsoft Office 365, and Cisco - with full training provided.


Joining a growing IT team, this Service Desk Analyst role is will require you to use your technical expertise to resolve 1st line IT issues for employees in a timely manner and contribute to the team by providing an excellent IT support service.


Experience required:

  • 6+ months experience in a similar Service Desk/1st line IT support role
  • Working with Service Desk/Helpdesk software, MS Office 365 & Active Directory
  • Excellent understanding of various systems and a passion to learn about new technology & software
  • Ability to find solutions and assist staff at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and deliver on deadlines
  • Enthusiastic, hardworking and a team player

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Working on a busy service desk
  • To adhere to the Incident Management Process, Service Request, Major Incident and Change Control procedures
  • Provide basic Microsoft Office 365 support
  • Escalate and manage 2nd/3rd line support tickets
  • Carry our basic Active Directory tasks
  • Able to support users remotely and onpremises
  • Create user profiles
  • Roll out software centrally and manually
  • Offer user laptop health checks
  • Managing all tasks via helpdesk system
  • Review ticket trends with line manager
  • Support team and firm with adhoc IT tasks


My client wants this person to grow into the role and after 12 months move to 2nd line role in the future, or into a different area of IT if desired.

They are looking to pay a starting salary of up to £23,000 + Benefits + Flexible Hours + Hybrid Working
