MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
LAUNDRY OPERATIVE

Operational:


Working as part of a team, duties will include sorting, washing, and drying, folding, repairing, and packing Textiles ready for dispatch.

Responsible for delivering safe performance of their allocated area within the unit.

Being aware of the risks associated with their specific role and ensuring that the correct safety procedures are being followed.

Responsible for ensuring that daily targets are met and the required specification is maintained

  • Maintaining housekeeping standards by ensuring that the area is kept clean and tidy at all times
  • Packing finished products to the correct standards in preparation for dispatch

PERFORMANCE DELIVERABLES:


  • Delivers individual targets and output for the unit
  • Presents a safe area at all times
  • Diligent approach to reducing quality incidents & rejects
  • Attention to detail

Required level and nature of experience:

  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • Experience within a similar environment is essential
  • Have the knowledge, judgment and capability to perform routine operational tasks accurately and safely.
  • Experience working in a repetitive role
  • Must have excellent dexterity
  • Good level of spoken English

The laundry operator must be able to follow procedures accurately, demonstrate clear communication and good team working abilities.

Salary:
£10.65 per hour
