Vehicle Mechanic

Location:
Catterick, UK.

Compensation:
£27, benefits

Role Type:
Full time / Permanent

The role:


  • You will carry out the inspection, servicing, repair and overhaul of a wide range of military vehicles, assemblies, electrical, small arms, armament and general equipment.
  • Day to day, you'll carry out work to the required standard and specification as detailed on the job card in accordance with the customer requirements, current regulations, local instructions, processes and technical publications. This will include the diagnostic,inspection and assessment of vehicles and associated mechanical / electrical equipment in line skills & competency.
  • You will ensure all job transactions are accurately recorded and carried out in accordance with current ERP processes

Qualifications/Experience:


  • NVQ Level 3 Service and Repair or equivalent (ESSENTIAL)
  • Previous experience within similar role (ESSENTIAL)
  • Hydraulics experience is needed (ESSENTIAL)
  • It would be ideal if you came from HGV or Garage background
  • You will need to be able to follow up on and take responsibility for unresolved issues or escalations
  • Ability to develop effective relationships internally at a variety of levels
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
