Transport Supervisor
Days
  • Monday to Friday

Hours - 07:30 - 17:30 (50 hours)
Salary - £34,424 - £36,500


We are currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor to work in our busy transport department, someone who is driven, focused, customer orientated as well as commercially & industry aware.


You will be responsible for supporting the operations manager in the management of a dynamic transport team, helping to take the business forward as well as furthering your own career through a period of growth.


A hands-on approach is a must to work alongside our drivers and therefore experience in a similar field is essential for this role.


What you'll do

  • Consistently lead a team of drivers by example.
- mentor, engage and develop your team to be high performing at all times, as well as achieving company vision.

  • Track and report on performance for the transport team.
- manage sickness and absence.
- review and log driver infringements.
- manage driver tachographs.
- engage and build positive working relationships with internal and external partners.


Required

  • Previous experience at managing a team.
  • An understanding and relevant knowledge regarding transport compliance.
  • Geographical knowledge
  • Able to plan and prioritise workload
  • Strong communication skills

Salary:
£34,424.00-£36,500.00 per year
