Description
Global engineering business require a Senior (Technical) Buyer. Applicants need experience as an Engineering Buyer or Technical Buyer and have some previous management/supervisory experience.

Specific duties of the Senior (Technical) Buyer / Procurement Operations Lead include:

  • Manage resources and delegate workload of Operational Buyers
  • Ensure tenders/sourcing is conducted compliantly while meeting ESGs
  • Interface with Procurement Category Managers and Project teams understand how activities feed into their strategies
  • Capture supplier performance data and report to help drive improvements
  • Support maintenance of accurate contract management database


  • Stakeholder engagement

  • Finance, Engineering etc,
  • Procurement representative on ERP upgrade project
Senior (Technical) Buyer / Procurement Operations Lead applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Procurement experience, as a Senior Buyer, Engineering Buyer, Technical Buyer or similar
  • Experience of managing a team, or supervising a team
  • Exposure to a technical industry manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, automotive, defence etc.


  • Good with systems

  • MRP/ERP, esourcing tools etc.
  • Comfortable with hybrid working
